Well we are three quarters of the way through the year. (Good Lord don’t judge me if that’s wrong. Basic math is not my forte. It’s right up there with patience.)
Holy moly it went fast.
The year started off as a rough one and I thought time would never pass, but it’s quickly shaping to be an important time.
All my life I’ve been blessed with copious opportunities that I’ve been fortunate enough to take advantage of. But now I’m learning how to go after what I really want. I’m learning the basic concept of what I want. I’m learning what’s important to me, and sometimes that means it’s only important to me and no one else.
But above all, I’m learning that I have accumulated an incredible tribe of women I don’t thank nearly enough:
There are days when I’m running solely off of the fuel that comes from the love of my mom and sister.
And there are days when I can breathe because my best friends remind me to. (Thank you MayMay, Steph, & Dan.)
I’m grateful for the women and men I work with – the ones whom I always go to when I need advice or support. And this extends all the way through the hotel from sales to front office, catering, housekeeping, accounting… the list goes on.
I’m blessed by the community I have online. A supportive comment from a friend living accross the country reminds me why I do what I do. (aka write)
And lately, as I extend my time into new endeavors, I’ve found women I barely know reaching out to to get to know me. Allowing me to build a tribe in entirely new places. (Like church, and even spin.)
And a huge thank you to all the women who let me be a part of their tribe, letting me offer support however I can. Giving me a purpose.
I don’t know what I did in a previous life to deserve such a tribe.
All I can think to do is say
T H A N K Y O U X O
